More camera trouble

Just like when we on holiday in India we have started with severe camera trouble. We got around it in India because I could use my i-phone to take photo's and email them to myself, using those for the blogs. This time my i-phone won't work for some bizarre reason. I tried my good camera that we didn't take to India and the data card will not stay inside the camera holder so I only have space on the internal memory for about five pictures and no way of getting them off. It's not even a standard SD card because it's an Olympus so its not easy to find another one and if I did it might not be the card anyway.

Our reception has a couple of computers and free wifi so I could easily take Claire's notebook to enter the last blog but without any photo's. For that reason, I had to delete some and get photo's from the internet so sorry but I didn't have any that we have taken. Unfortunately, there are also none from our first day as I took all them on my iphone as well not realizing the extent of the problem at the time. I knew that I couldn't email through 3G but assumed that once I had a wifi connection I could send the photo's to my notebook via my email but it wont do that either. For this reason I will make this blog very short and take pictures on Claire's camera tomorrow. She did take a few of our apartment so that is all you get today.

We decided to have an easy day and drove off first thing in search of a supermarket to get supplies. That was easier said than done as its a Sunday and Spanish places are mostly closed on a Sunday but we did manage to find a small place to get a few bits locally. We parked up and went for a walk to the coast which isn't far and quite pretty but not many places to eat. We drove around the local area and found a place where they have lots of choice for restaurants and shops so parked up there and ordered Sunday lunch at the Country Kitchen and the food was excellent and freshly cooked. Claire ordered a glass of house wine but I noticed that they charged 2.95 Euros a glass and only 5.95 Euros for the bottle so you even win after your second glass. That was the highlight of our day, the rest of which we spent mainly relaxing and reading like normal people.

Well tomorrow we intend to set off reasonably early and drive around the island and if I remember to take Claire's camera we should have some photos for our next blog and a little more to talk about. It started off sunny and hot but gradually the clouds filled the sky during the afternoon and its finished rather cool. This seemed to be the pattern in the north during the summer so I wonder if it will also be the pattern here in the south during the winter. Its a shame as our balcony is shaded during the morning and gets the sun from lunchtime for the rest of the day.
